The screening foil consists of a cristalline nickel-iron alloy which is called mumetal and can reduce magnetic fields.
Shieldings of soft magnetic alloys are designed to protect certain types of devices, assemblies or switching elements from stray magnetic fields.
But it is also usable to shield magnetic fields in the house or at the working place to protect health.
The foil can be used in more layers to maximize the shielding and it is easy to cut with a scissors.
